Business Traineeship – Smeaton Grange Australian Training Company has an opportunity for a recent school leaver (2025-2026) to commence a Certificate III in Business traineeship with a Commercial Cleaning Company in Smeaton Grange. You will be working within a small but dynamic team on a full-time basis as an Office All-Rounder. This is an entry level position working 38 hours per week and is a great opportunity to earn while you learn and start a career in Business. The qualification (Certificate III in Business) is fully funded by the NSW government. Drivers license is essential for this role. The role will include the following duties: Key Responsibilities
  • Complete monthly stationery, uniform and equipment stocktakes and place orders as required
  • Coordinate outgoing mail, collect and drop-off mail and parcels to/from the Post Office
  • Source, quote and order promotional merchandise, including branded items and client gifts
  • Manage office spare keys, gate remotes and access devices
  • Open and maintain supplier accounts as required
  • Coordinate team lunches, breakfasts, and other internal events
  • Daily office operations & housekeeping
  • Coordinate the administrative and equipment setup for new employees, including PCs, email accounts, iPads and mobile phones
  • Assist with onboarding new contractors ensure documentation is provided to the appropriate team members for processing
  • Coordinate and complete client safety inductions as required
  • Provide first-level assistance with basic device setup and troubleshooting
  • Coordinate telecommunications requirements with providers
  • Coordinate the monthly bathroom supplies mailout to clients and contractors
  • Follow up clients and contractors for responses and stock requirements
  • Order bathroom and consumable supplies through Xero
  • Coordinate the supply and installation of new sanitary bins
  • Coordinate vehicle servicing and maintenance bookings
  • Maintain records of vehicle registrations, insurance policies and renewal dates and any vehicle-related requirements
  • Follow up upcoming renewals and ensure vehicle documentation remains current
  • Assist with ad-hoc office and operational projects
  • Provide general administrative and operational support to management and the wider team
  • Assist with other reasonable duties as required to support the smooth operation of the business

Australian Training Company has an exciting entry-level opportunity available for an enthusiastic, committed and focused person with a keen interest in Information Technology.  The successful candidate will be completing a Certificate III in Information Technology.   Location The location for this role is in a school environment supporting teachers’ IT requirements in Parramatta OR Penrith.   About the role
  • Will be providing technical and user support while receiving on and off-the-job training.
  • Previous experience or qualifications are not essential although a background in IT at the HSC level completing IPT or VET IT or equivalent will be desirable.
  • Would highly suit a 2024 Year 12 school leaver.
  • All trainees are paid in accordance with the National Training Wage Award.
  • Start ASAP.
  Skills and Experience
  • Will need to have an aptitude for learning technical tasks and systems with the ability to troubleshoot IT issues.
  • Ability to work on tasks both independently and with a team.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to demonstrate initiative.
  • The ability to work across both MAC and PC platforms is highly desired.
  • Own transport is an advantage but not essential.
