This is a 4 year apprenticeship in Landscape Construction Certificate III including 2.5 years at TAFE.
Duties include, garden renovation, new landscaping, planting, retaining walls, paving, brickwork, pergolas, fencing, water features and lots of other duties related to building new gardens in commercial and residential. There is also core drilling and concreting.
Skills you will learn are carpentry, planting, bricklaying, stonemasonry, fencing, concreting and lighting. Occasional maintenance work also, including mowing, edging and hedging.
Most work is in lower north shore and northern suburbs. Drivers Licence, own transport and whitecard required. Must have good passes in math, willing to learn and able to take instruction. Successful applicant will be well presented for public contact. Must be fit for physical work. TAFE will be at Ryde.
Hours are Monday – Friday 7am – 3.30pm, must be willing to work some overtime including Saturdays where required. Overtime rates will apply. NO TAFE FEES.
