Credit Transfer

Credit transfer recognises units you’ve previously achieved through other registered training organizations (RTOs), so you don’t need to repeat the same learning or assessment.

What is Credit Transfer?

Credit transfer is the formal recognition of your previously completed study. It allows you to receive credit for units you’ve already achieved, so you don’t need to repeat the same learning or assessment.

Credit transfer can only be granted for units of competency or modules listed on a valid Certificate or Statement of Attainment issued by an RTO or authorised training provider under the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF).

Why apply for Credit Transfer?

  • Save time and money by not repeating units you’ve already completed.

  • Focus your study on new skills and knowledge.

  • Ensure your training record reflects your full achievement history.

Credit transfer does not require you to demonstrate competence again — it is based on formal evidence of prior achievement.
