Australian Training Company is seeking a 2nd or 3rd year heavy vehicle apprentice who is wanting to complete their Certificate III Automotive – Heavy commercial vehicle apprenticeship with a large and reputable transport company. With a fleet of over 100 vehicles you will sure to be exposed to all the requirements to help you complete your trade. DUTIES:
  • Repair, maintain and service transmission, steering and braking systems
  • Fault finding and resolving mechanical issues (repairs, removals, installations)
  • Troubleshoot braking systems, steering and cooling systems
  • Maintenance of equipment including brakes and suspension
  • Assemble, fit, clean and lubricate machined parts using a range of tools and equipment
  • Follow directions from tradesmen
REQUIREMENTS:
  • passionate about vehicles, mechanics and/or the motor industry
  • keen to learn, enthusiastic and can work in a productive team environment
  • punctual & reliable
  • own hand tools and driver’s license
