About the Role:
Great opportunity to work outdoors and develop your skills and gain qualifications. Parks and Gardens apprentices maintain and care for all aspects of garden and lawn maintenance including residential, playgrounds, parks, recreational area and railways.
Skills and Requirements:
- Driver licence (not ‘L’s) and own transport essential
- White card
- Team player, committed to safety
- The successful candidate may need to undergo a pre-employment medical and drug test
Duties and Training include:
- Hedging
- Mowing lawns and grass
- Controlling weeds and plant pests
- Identifying soils and plants
- Pruning plants and trees
- Facilities management
- Installing irrigation systems
- Using various machinery
