As an apprentice you will be involved with setting out, constructing wall frames, ceiling frames, pitched roofs, eaves, external stairs, flooring systems and install windows and doors.  Some knowledge of the use of hand and power tools is an advantage. Certificate III Horticulture Parks and Gardens We are looking for two apprentices to complete a 4 year apprenticeship in Horticulture, maintaining and caring for the local parks and gardens on north shore. Working outdoors, duties include using machinery and equipment, pruning, planting, hedging, mowing, identifying plants, using fertilisers and chemicals, maintaining irrigation systems, identifying pests and diseases and many other varied tasks. You will attend TAFE one day a week for 2.5 years for off the job training. Drivers Licence highly preferred, public transport available.  Must be well presented for public contact and have good communication skills. Hours are Monday to Friday 6.30am to 3.30pm with a rostered day off each fortnight. Great career path and opportunity for the successful applicants. Uniforms and PPE is supplied. A great opportunity to learn a trade from a qualified industry tradesperson in the north and south areas of Brisbane and Gold Coast Apprentices would be involved in learning various hand tools and equipment, Operating / working at heights, installing roof drainage components and external flashings & installing various roof sheeting profiles. This apprenticeship will provide you with the opportunity to earn while you learn, working Monday to Friday.
