Jayden’s Story

Jayden successfully completed his Certificate III in Information Technology in 2022. He is now working toward his Certificate IV.

Jayden is Hosted by Catholic Schools Parramatta Diocese (CSPD) and is placed in two Primary Schools in the Blue Mountains. He travels each day from Lithgow, but believes the experience he is gaining warrants the distance he is required to travel.

Asked to provide on site support at the State Education Conference 2022, the CSPD, Jayden was provided with the following excellent feedback from the CSPD Senior Technical Support Team:

“I just wanted to thank you for your support over the past 2 days at the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander State Education Conference. Liam and I couldn’t have done this without your help, especially on the first day trying to work out where the rooms were located. Liam and I have received great feedback from presenters, the CEDP Leadership team and those attending the conference that the sessions ran smoothly and the support was appreciated. Thank you again.”

Jayden combines both completing all required study on time and of a high standard along with ensuring all technology is ready for teaching and learning. His personal skills make him a valued member of the school communities.

CSPD recently recognised that Jayden goes over and above in supporting his schools and have nominated him for “NSW Training Awards Trainee of the Year”.

“The traineeship has allowed me to take on leadership responsibilities in managing and maintaining the school’s Information and Communication Technology requirements. I have developed systems and processes to manage devices and ensure safety and appropriate storage and use of equipment, allowing teachers and students to spend more time engaging in teaching and learning.”
