About the Role
This 4‑year apprenticeship combines paid, practical experience with Fee‑Free TAFE study — meaning you can earn while you learn with no course fees. You’ll develop real horticultural skills while helping maintain vibrant public spaces.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Planting, pruning, mulching, weeding, and general garden care
- Learning to safely operate horticultural tools and machinery
- Assisting with turf care, landscaping projects, and sports field maintenance
- Helping maintain parks, reserves, and community spaces
- Attending TAFE as part of your fee‑free apprenticeship
What We’re Looking For
- Genuine interest in plants, gardens, and outdoor work
- Positive attitude and strong willingness to learn
- Reliability, punctuality, and ability to work in a team
- Driver’s licence (or working towards one) is a bonus
