This is a great opportunity to kick start your career in Horticulture. Study Certificate III in Horticulture (Park & Gardens) and work with one of the most reputable Horticulture and Landscaping companies in the Industry.

There are several positions available for 1st, 2nd or 3rd year apprentices in Erskine Park, Eastern Creek, Homebush & Alexandria/Rosebery.

 

Australian Training Company is on the hunt to find top quality Apprentices who enjoy the outdoors and being out in the garden/landscape environment and keen to learn, grow and be a part of this highly successful team. Team meet on site at 6.30am each morning (Mon-Fri) where you will be performing some of the following tasks:

 

  • Weeding (by hand & chemicals)
  • Trimming trees, shrubs and hedges
  • Mulching gardens
  • Use garden hand tools
  • Operate whipper snippers, hedges, lawn mowers

Requirements for success in this role:

  • Car and drivers license or able to get to site by 6.30am
  • Self-driven and reliable
  • Willing to undertake an apprenticeship and genuine interest in this trade
  • White card – essential
  • Eager to learn and good eye for detail
  • Punctuality and a hard-working attitude
  • Ability to prioritise time and skills to complete all set tasks efficiently

 

As an Apprentice you will be working with a team to beautify and attend to the regular maintenance and upkeep of high profile sites. Throughout the apprenticeship you will learn about plant species, botanical names of plants, weed identification etc. Grow and develop skills beyond the walls of the classroom and forge a career. You will work closely with qualified and experienced members who will teach and train you on site each day.
