There are several positions available for 1st, 2nd or 3rd year apprentices in Erskine Park, Eastern Creek, Homebush & Alexandria/Rosebery.   Australian Training Company is on the hunt to find top quality Apprentices who enjoy the outdoors and being out in the garden/landscape environment and keen to learn, grow and be a part of this highly successful team. Team meet on site at 6.30am each morning (Mon-Fri) where you will be performing some of the following tasks:  
  • Weeding (by hand & chemicals)
  • Trimming trees, shrubs and hedges
  • Mulching gardens
  • Use garden hand tools
  • Operate whipper snippers, hedges, lawn mowers

  • Beecroft:  A small young team working on residential properties are looking to train a 1st year apprentice. Most work is in the North Shore area including Gladesville, Thornleigh and Concord.
  • Hoxton Park:  A small host with a young team are looking for a 1st year apprentice.  Work is mostly residential on new properties and replacement and renovation of existing blocks.  Lots of variety, locations include Harrington Park, Windsor, lower mountains and Horsley Park.  Monday - Friday 7am – 3.30pm, some overtime may be required.
  • Inner West:  Most work Including Haberfield, Marrickville, Balmain.  You will learn how to undertake garden renovation, new landscaping, planting, retaining walls, paving, pergolas, stonemasonry, water features and lots of other duties related to building new gardens in residential and some commercial premises.
  • Riverstone:   Training is in construction of various sporting fields and fixtures, including tennis courts, soccer fields, cricket pitches and other sporting fixtures. Learn and obtain tickets in the use of various earth moving equipment such as skid steer and excavators in 5, 10 and 15 tonne machinery.  Will be trained to obtain MR licence.
  • Ryde:  Transforming high end residential properties, great opportunity to learn varied skills.  Each property is very different and will be trained in all aspects of these renovations.
  • Smithfield: A small, young team who build and renovate gardens are looking to train a 1st year apprentice. Skills you will learn include engineering, carpentry, bricklaying, fencing, concreting, stonemasonry, planting and lighting. Most work is on residential properties located in South Western Sydney including Smithfield, Hoxton Park, Horsley Park and Oran Park.
  • Sydney:  Building and renovation of areas such as Parramatta Square, Barangaroo, Parramatta Ferry Wharf, Sydney Park. Learn and obtain tickets in excavation machinery.

  • Ensuring the health and safety needs of all children are supported.
  • Maintenance of environments which fosters curiosity and encourages exploration and engagement.
  • Demonstrate and promote professional standards at all times, ensuring positive and respectful relationships with children, families, fellow team members and the wider community.
  • Lead reflective practice and curriculum considerations relating to inclusion and equity within your room and the service as a whole.
  • Advocate for the rights of children and their families.
  • Abide by all service policies and procedures, ensuring high quality practices are implemented at all times.
You will have:
  • Australian Citizenship or Permanent Residence
  • Passion and drive to learn and participate in the work environment.
  • A commitment to empowering, respecting and protecting children and young people through the provision of child safe environments.
  • Good communication skills – both written and verbal.
  • Computer literacy - experience using web-based documentation systems preferred. Training will also be conducted online.
The successful applicant must be reliable, enthusiastic and a passion to work with young children.  They need to possess great interpersonal skills, and be able to show initiative whilst working in a team environment.  They must have a willingness to learn and be able to take direction. A demonstrated interest in the Childcare Industry is also desirable. The successful applicant must be an Australian Citizen This position is 16 hours per week, working a nominated work day each week and including some extra shifts over school holidays, over a 24-month period.
